With over 40 years managerial experience, and 30 years as CEO/Executive Director of the Hand-in-Hand Group, his entire working life has been spent in the financial services industry. He is also a Past-President of the Insurance Association of Guyana, Past-President of The Insurance Institute of Guyana, Past-Chairman of the Small Business Council, and of The Berbice Bridge Company Inc. He has also held directorships in E-Net (Telephone and Cable) and ETS (Oil and Gas services).

Mr. Evelyn is an avid motorsports personality and racer, who also served in various capacities, including President, of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club.

For more than 15 years, he has held the privileged position of Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium in Guyana.
